Dindigul thrashes Thanjavur

DINDIGUL, JUNE 15. Host and last year's runner-up, Dindigul got off to a great start by crushing Thanjavur 7-0 in the 14th Tamil Nadu State youth football championship, for the A.G. Subburaman Memorial Trophy, at Nehruji Memorial Municipal HSS ground here on Tuesday.

P. Jeyaraj scored three, while A. Prem Edwin, M. Vimalraj, A. Ganapathy and P. Ruben Santhosh netted one each.

In another match, Thiruvallur posted a 1-0 win over Nilgiris with Gunalan netting a penalty.
