ANANTAPUR, JUNE 15. A forensic museum was inaugurated at the Police Training College (PTC) here on Tuesday for the benefit of police constable recruits trained there. Collection of scientific evidence from the scene of offence will be taught to the trainees with the help of the museum. Speaking after inaugurating the museum, the PTC Principal, J.G. Murali, said the PTC here was the best in the State with various facilities. Apart from training half of the State's constable recruits from 23 districts and three commissionerates the PTC was also offering short-term training courses in communication skills, stress management, public speaking and field craft tactics to all cadres of police officers. Started as Central Police Recruits' School by the British in 1917 the institution became PTC in 1955. Officers up to IPS cadre were trained here till the AP Police Academy was set up.
