HYDERABAD, JUNE 15. The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on his return from New Delhi on Tuesday, said that another expansion of the Cabinet apart from the induction of TRS Ministers on June 21 might take place after the Budget session of the Assembly. The decision to join the Cabinet on June 21 was entirely of the TRS and he had no objection to it. Congress members might be inducted later, he said. Dr. Reddy also hinted at replacement of the PCC president "at an appropriate time by the high command". The Chief Minister said the issue of talks with naxalites was being dealt with seriously and the Home Minister was looking into the matter. "The right people at the right places are being sounded", he said. The talk of the TRS making a claim for some corporation chairperson posts is also making round in the political circles as the TRS president seems to be intent upon securing a post for each of his MLAs. The unhappiness in the Congress camp is all set to only increase if this move is made. The State Congress leadership is said to be helpless in this matter - or in yielding six or seven Cabinet berths to the TRS as is being speculated - as the AICC leadership is directly dealing with the TRS leaders. Politically it is said to silence the TRS for the time being on its demand for separate Telangana. "It is the price the party is paying to water down the demand. The TRS leaders too prefer posts to the political goal," a senior PCC leader remarked. There is an apprehension among the former Congress Forum for Telangana leaders that the induction of TRS MLAs into the Cabinet might deplete their chances further in securing berths in the Cabinet. "We are now bemoaning our past moves", a veteran Telangana leader said.
