CINSA formed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JUNE 16. The sportsmen in Kerala have formed a new body — Confederation of National and International Sportsmen (CINSA) — with P.V. Raju and Padmini Thomas chosen as the acting president and general secretary respectively. All National and international sportspersons will be members of this organisation.

CINSA will be formally inaugurated by film star, Suresh Gopi, on June 20 at a meeting presided over by the Kerala Sports Council president, C. Mohanachandran.

CINSA would honour all Padmashree and Arjuna awardees from the State.

The former DGP of Police, M.K. Joseph will also be honoured, for his overall contribution to sports, at the inaugural function.

CINSA officer-bearers: P.V. Raju (acting president); Padmini Thomas (general secretary); B. Biju (treasurer); Sam Christudas, Abdul Razak, Unwin J. Antony, P.J. Joseph, George Thomas, P.V. Raju and S. Omanakumari (vice-presidents); Cyril C. Vellore, K. Udayakumar, Satheesh Nair, Radhika Suresh, Jaisamma Moothedan, Kunjukujamma and P.S. Sasikumar (joint-secretaries).
