CHAMARAJANAGAR, JUNE 17. Members of the Kannada Jagruthi Samithi have said that they will launch an indefinite fast in front of the Deputy Commissioner's office from Monday if the Government did not suspend the Chamarajanagar publicity officer, T.C. Manjunath Babu, within two days. The officer, they alleged, had, at a meeting to review the implementation of "Kannada in administration" on June 11, questioned the obligation to use Kannada by the various departments. Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, the samithi members termed the Deputy Commissioner, Harsh Gupta's clarification in the matter as false. They asked why the copies of the proceedings in the meeting had not been handed over to them.
