Anantapur
By Our Staff Reporter
ANANTAPUR, JUNE 17. The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, will arrive in the district on June 20 for a two-day visit as part of his `Rajiv Pallebata' programme. He will arrive at Amarapuram on June 20, halt for night at Hindupur and return to Hyderabad on June 21. The Chief Minister will address 14 public meetings, apart from participating in other programmes. The DCC president and Anantapur MP, A. Venkatarami Reddy, said that Dr. Reddy's visit was aimed at instilling confidence among the farmers in deep distress. He would also explain the Government policies to the people, apart from holding a review meeting with the officials and legislators. The DCC president said that the Chief Minister had taken up `Rajiv Pallebata' in the same spirit with which he had taken up issues as the CLP leader in the last Assembly. Mr. Venkatarami Reddy said the Government planned to supply 4.22 lakh quintals of subsidised groundnut seed. He appealed to the Congress workers not to interrupt the Chief Minister's visit and allow people to meet the leader. The partymen could meet the Chief Minister in the party meeting at Hindupur on June 20 night, he said.
