Rain likely

Forecast: A spell of rain likely in some areas.

At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 32.6 degree Celsius and the minimum was 27.6 degree Celsius respectively on Thursday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 67 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 66 per cent.

At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 36.2 degree Celsius and 28.5 degree Celsius respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 63 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 65 per cent.

Appointed

The former corporator, Padala Venkateswara Rao, has been appointed as the Lions district chairman (consumer awareness) for 2004-05 by the Lions district governor-elect, B. Thirupathi Raju.

Philately exhibition

The Department of Posts is organising a district-level philately exhibition at the Maharashtra Mandal here on June 26 and 27.

Condolence meeting
