Security boosted for Wimbledon
London: British police is boosting security measures for Wimbledon. Police Chief Superintendent Simon Ovens said there was no specific threat to the two-week tournament, which starts on Monday.
``We have significantly increased the number of officers compared with last year and all visitors will be searched,'' Ovens was quoted as saying in Evening Standard. A spokesman for London's Metropolitan Police confirmed the newspaper had accurately reported his comments. AP
