AHMEDABAD, JUNE 18. The governing board of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will meet here tomorrow to decide on the fee structure. While the meetings of the IIM-A and the IIM-Kozhikode are slated for tomorrow, those of the IIM-Bangalore and IIM-Lucknow will be on June 21 and June 23 respectively. The `consensus' formula arrived at by the IIMs comprised reverting to the old fee structure, and introducing more need-based scholarships (NBS) to help the needy students. The IIMs already have the provision of NBS, but the number of scholarships is inadequate. The IIM-A has agreed to raise the fund for NBS from Rs. 25 lakhs to Rs. 80 lakhs.
