MUMBAI, JUNE 18. Dubai-based businessman Akhtar Hussaini Qutbuddin Ahmed, who had been detained since June 12 on suspicion of trying to sell India's nuclear secrets to Arab nations, was today arrested by the Crime Branch of the Mumbai police on charge of forging his wife's educational documents and an ID card from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Akhtar was arrested early this morning, produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate's Court and remanded to police custody until July 1.
