LMPC enters semifinals

MADURAI, JUNE 18. Host Latha Madhavan Polytechnic College (LMPC) entered the semifinals of the LMPC founder's day trophy State-level football tournament for schools and polytechnics with a 3-0 win over Don Bosco HSS, at Kidaripatti near here, on Friday.

Charles, Arunkumar and Muthusamy scored for LMPC.

Government HSS (Melur) also entered the last four stage defeating V.S.V.N. Polytechnic (Virudhunagar) 4-1 via tie-breaker.

The other match between S.B.O.A. School and Annamalai Polytechnic (Chettinad) did not come off as the latter did not turn up.
