`No extradition of Abu Salem'
LISBON (PORTUGAL),
JUNE 18.
Portugal's Supreme Court has overturned a decision by a lower Lisbon court to grant India's request for the extradition of Abu Salem, who is suspected of planning one of India's deadliest bomb attacks.
Salem's lawyer Joao Nabais told Lisbon radio TSF today that the Supreme Court upheld his appeal against extradition.
The case will now return to the lower court for a review of its earlier decision, based on the Supreme Court's ruling. AP
