The sky will be generally cloudy on Saturday and a spell of rain likely at noon or in the evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Friday were 32.9 degree Celsius and 22.4 degree Celsius while the relative humidity stood at 51 per cent. Rainfall was recorded in traces.

Counselling for

OU admission

Counselling for admission into B.Com. (Honours) course in Osmania University colleges will be held at the Department of Commerce, Osmania University campus here, on June 20.

The Convenor, B.Com (Honours), admissions, S.V. Satyanarayana, has said admissions will be strictly on the basis of marks secured in the entrance examination held on June 6. The session begins at 9 a.m.

Lok Adalat

sitting today

The next sitting of the Lok Adalat for AP Transco to settle cases of consumers of Central Power Distribution Company Limited (CPDCL) will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Mint Compound, according to an official press release.

Similarly, `viduyth sadassus' will be held in Seetharamabagh, Troopbazar and Begumbazar sub-divisions of CPDCL from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Consumers can rectify the defects in their power bills and get their other grievances redressed.

Children's

book expo

A children's book exhibition-cum-sale is being organised by the Publications Division at Gruhakalpa Complex on M.J. Road from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children's literature, folk tales, biographies, works on the art, culture, flora and fauna of the country are on display. The exhibition will be held up to June 23, barring Sunday. A special discount of 10 per cent is being offered on all books.

The president of Thakur Hari Prasad Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for the Mentally Handicapped, Thakur V. Hari Prasad, has been invited by the Rehabilitation International to chair the 20th World Congress session on `disrupted lives of disabled persons' in Oslo, Norway, and also make a presentation on community participative rehabilitation being practised at his institute.

He will also visit important institutions working in the field of mentally challenged in Sweden, according to a press release.

A meditation camp for better health will be held at Gandhi Gyan Mandir Yoga Kendra at Koti from June 21.
