Narrow escape

SRINAGAR, JUNE 19. As many as 136 passengers on board a Jet Airways flight had a narrow escape when an alert pilot applied the emergency brakes to prevent a collision with an Army helicopter which suddenly appeared on the aircraft's path during take-off at the airport here on Friday, sources said. Twelve passengers suffered minor injuries in the impact. — PTI
