KANCHEEPURAM, JUNE 19. A total of 30 members from 10 different women self-help groups around this town are being trained in making card-board boxes to pack silk sarees and other dressing materials. The programme, conducted by Star Rural Development Association, a non-governmental organisation, was funded by the National Bank for Rural Development. "The month-long programme commenced on June 3.
