Fall in humidity

Gannavaram Airport recorded a maximum temperature of 35.6 degree Celsius and a minimum of 26.2 degree Celsius on Saturday.

Humidity which was 64 per cent in the morning fell to 58 per cent in the evening.

Commodity prices

The following were the prices (in rupees per kg) of essential commodities in the local wholesale market on Saturday: groundnut oil: Rs.50.50, palmolein oil: Rs. 41, sunflower oil: Rs. 50, tamarind (flower variety): Rs. 29 to 35, tamarind (karipuli variety): Rs. 38 to 45, chillies(AC): Rs. 24 to 28, chillies(non AC): Rs. 14 to 22, rice (2716): Rs. 13, rice(super fine): Rs. 14 to 15, rice (sambamasoori): Rs. 15 to 16, black gram: Rs. 19 to 25 and Red Gram (Kandipappu): Rs. 26.50 to 30.

Power shutdown

There will be no power supply in the following areas from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Section -- K.G. Market. affected streets, RR Apparao street, Vinnakotavari Chowk, Samarangam Chowk, part of Park Road, Pulipativari street, Ramgopal Street, Kandulavari Street, KT Road, Main Bazaar and Poolabhavi Street.

BSNL counter timings

The on-line cash counter at the BSNL Bhavan, Chuttugunta Centre, will function from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on week days only, according to Telecom district general manager, C.K. Radhakrishnan.

The Andhra Bank has entered into an agreement with the Kusalava Motors(Authorised dealer of TVS) to provide 90 per cent loan for purchase of vehicles to farmers with two acres of land and 100 per cent finance to salaried employees through all its retail outlets in the district.

Andhra Bank general manager, Subhash Chandra Reddy, the deputy general manager, Patel, the assistant general manager (credit), Suryanarayana, the Kusalava Motors MD, Ch.Venkateswara Rao, general manager, Ravindra, Sales Service managers, Malyadri, Sudhakara Rao, Pioneer TVS Guntur representative, TVS area sales executive, Ronald Rajesh, signed the agreement.<137>
