Apna Dal leader killed

VARANASI, JUNE 19. Two motorcycle-borne assailants killed a local Apna Dal leader, Kranti Lal Patel, near the Baragaon police station this evening. The miscreants fled the scene after committing the crime. The incident sparked violent protests by his supporters, who tried to set ablaze the police station prompting the police to open fire in the air. — PTI
