DUBAI, JUNE 20. Malayalees from 25 countries will attend a four-day global conference beginning August 18 in the Bahraini capital Manama. The meet is being organised by the World Malayalee Council (WMC) for the first time in West Asia and has the patronage of the Bahrain Ministry of Information and sponsorship from Gulf Air. The Former Maharashtra Governor and Rajya Sabha member, P.C.Alexander, is to deliver the keynote address, the Bahrain Tribune reported. The delegates will include Ministers, Government officials, industrialists, entrepreneurs and State Government agencies. This is the fourth biennial meet organised by the WMC. The last one was held in Hamminkeln, Germany, in August 2002.
