BEML (Mysore) triumphs

MYSORE, JUNE 20. Helped by an inspired play by lanky Ramakanth V. Rao (24), the experienced BEML (Mysore) hoopsters registered an well earned 76-65 win over Young Challengers Sports Club to clinch the `Base Terminal Cup' and with that the District men's title in the Mysore District league 2004 which concluded at the Subbarayanakere courts here on Sunday.

Men: Final: BEML (Mysore) 76 (Ramakanth V Rao 24, Rajesh Raje Urs 13) bt Young Challengers Sports Club 65 (Supradeep 22, Krishna 17) Semifinals: BEML 43 ( Ramakanth V Rao 23, Rajesh Raje Urs 14) bt Aryans 46 (Rajeeva 17, Vimal 19); YCSC 64 (Supradeep 17, Sanjay 17) bt Pro-Tec 43 (Md. Hidayath 15).

Boys: Final: St. Joseph's State `A' 36 (Karthik 22) bt Mysore Public School 11 (Rahul 6).

Girls: Final: St. Joseph's Central `A' 49 (Lacia 32) bt RMP 12 (Kumari 7).

Women: Final: Sports Hostel `A' 48 (Smitha 16) bt Sports Hostel `B' 37 (Sunitha 19).
