HYDERABAD, JUNE 20. Golconda `Bonalu,' the first in the month-long series of this year's Bonalu festival in twin cities, got off to a glittering start with the installation of `ammavari ghatam' in the temple atop Golconda fort on Sunday. The Minister for Endowments, M. Satyanarayana Rao, formally inagurated the festival by offering prayers at a temple in Chota Bazar. With devotees dancing to the pulsating drumbeats, procession, comprising nearly 300 women devotees, was taken out from Chota Bazar to Golconda. The Mayor, T. Krishna Reddy, and the Bharatiya Janata Party leader, B. Bal Reddy, were present.
