This Day That Age
Mr. K. Kamaraj, Chief Minister of Madras, will seek election to the State Legislative Assembly from the Gudiyattam constituency in North Arcot district. The Congress authorities, it is understood, have approved of his contesting the seat as a Congress candidate. Gudiyattam is a double-member constituency with one seat reserved for a Harijan candidate. Arrangements are being made to file the nomination papers of Mr. Kamaraj before the Returning Officer on the due date.
