Unsolicited messages

Sir, — Mobile service providers have of late taken to sending unsolicited messages to users. In the United States there is a law that allows users who do not wish to be disturbed by tele-marketing calls to enlist, for a nominal charge, in a National No-call List. Companies that ignore the list face fines. A similar law must be enacted in India.

Srikanth Ramaseshan,
Bangalore
