By Our Special Correspondent SHIMOGA, JUNE 21. The police have arrested four persons and recovered seven stolen two-wheelers from them. According to a press release issued by the Superintendent of Police, K.H. Srinivasan, the police squad while checking vehicles on the Bypass Road at about 8 p.m. on June 18 sawtwo persons riding on a motorcycle. On seeing the police squad, they tried to escape. The police, who gave a chase, arrested them. They were identified as Mohammed Sadiq and Jainualla both of Kadur town in Chikmagalur district. On interrogation, they revealed the names of their accomplices, Ashraf and Aslam, who were arrested at the farmhouse of Mohammad Sadiq. The accused were said to be involved in 10 cases of vehicle theft in Shimoga, Bhadravati, Sagar and Channarayapatna. The release said the accused had sold the vehicles at Davangere, Kadur, Bantwal and Shimoga. Another accomplice, Khalid, who is the elder brother of Sadiq, is said to be at large.
