Big win for Cosmos
NEW DELHI,
JUNE 21.
Cosmos routed South India Football Club 5-1 in a group I preliminary league match of the `B' division DSA League at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday.
Ashish (2), Ashok, Alwin and Neelamber scored for the winner. Ashok Kumar reduced the margin for South India F. C. in the second half.
The other match of the day, in group II, between Golden Stars and Gulabi Bagh F. C. could not be played following a burglary in the referees room at the stadium. Three supervisory officials, Mohammed Gulzar, Hari Chand and Umesh Vohra, lost around Rs 3000, apart from credit cards and identity cards. The DSA has lodged an FIR with the I. P. Police Station.
