PONDICHERRY, JUNE 21. The Chief Minister. N. Rangasamy, today inaugurated the Ramana Rath (chariot) on the premises of Pudhuvai Ramana Kendram at Thattanchavady near here. The president of the Sri Ramanashramam, Tiruvannamalai, V. S. Ramanan, chairman of the Kendram, M.S. Chandrsekar, Mr. Rangasamy and several devotees drew the chariot. The chariot would be taken throughout Pondicherry to spread the messages of Ramana Maharishi, said Mr. Chandrasekar. The director of Department of Child and Women Development, Devi Mathews, was among those present. Kalai Maamani Priya Jayaram performed a bharathanatyam while M. Kandasamy gave a music concert. The Arunachala Atchara Manamaalai, composed by Ramana Maharishi, with explanatory notes was also released. The chariot carried the Maharishi's portrait with a chart on objectives of the rath yatra
