PONDICHERRY, JUNE 21. The Education Minister, K. Lakshminarayanan, has said that the government-sponsored Institute for Linguistics and Culture (PILC) would be developed into a Deemed Tamil varsity. The University Grants Commission would be requested to process the proposal. Speaking at the institute, today the Minister said once it became a deemed varsity, its research activities would widen.
