Letters to the Editor
Sir, Now that Dilip Singh Judev has been elected to the Rajya Sabha unopposed, the BJP owes an explanation as to why it made such a fuss in Parliament over the `tainted' Ministers issue.
Syed Sultan Mohiddin,
* * * Sir, While underplaying Mr. Judev's role in the video episode in which he was shown accepting bundles of notes, followed by a declaration that money is God, the BJP's campaign against Laloo Prasad Yadav, Jai Prakash Yadav and Mohammed Taslimuddin defies logic.
K.P. Ramesh Bhose,
* * * Sir, Going by the number of defeated candidates finding their way into the Rajya Sabha, it looks as if defeat in the Lok Sabha election is one of the qualifications for becoming a member of the Upper House.
G. Jagannathan,
