PONDICHERRY, JUNE 22. The Insurance Corporation Employees Union (Vellore division) will hold its 17th conference in the Andhra Maha Sabha here on June 27 and 28. The president of the union, A. Narayanan, and the chairman of the Reception Committee, K. Murugan, told newsmen here today that 120 delegates from Villupuram, Cuddalore, Tiruvannamalai, Pondicherry and Vellore (coming under the Vellore division) would be taking part in the conference, which would call upon authorities to take steps to raise the strength of group C and D employees. The meeting will also take a critical look at the situation arising out of the privatisation. The All-India Insurance Employees Union president, N. M. Sundaram, will make the inaugural address.
