Asia Cup preparation progressing well: Ganguly
KOLKATA,
JUNE 22.
Skipper Sourav Ganguly feels India's preparation for the Asia Cup is progressing well. The Indian team captain, who worked out at the Eden Gardens with team physio Gregory Allan King, said the Bangalore camp was very useful and benefitted the probables.
"A lot was done to improve the fitness of individuals, concentrating on different aspects. We also had sessions with psychologist Sandy Gordon for six days and it ought to help everyone,'' Ganguly informed.
The Indian captain refrained from speaking further on the issue of an opening partner for Virender Sehwag. "A lot has been said on this. I don't want to say any more,'' he told reporters here on Tuesday.
Ganguly appreciated the work of King and said one should not compare King and his predecessor Adrian le Roux. "They are two different individuals and have different style of working. One cannot compare the two,'' he said.
King, who is here at Ganguly's behest, would work with Bengal's Ranji Trophy probables for three to four days. Our Special Correspondent
