Three-in-a-row for UAE

KUALA LUMPUR, JUNE 22. The United Arab Emirates defeated Oman by 94 runs on Tuesday to win the Asian Cricket Council Trophy for the third year in a row.

UAE, which entered the 15-nation tournament as favourite, scored 253 for the loss of seven wickets at Malaysia's Bayuemas Oval before bowling out its Gulf rival for 159 in the 45th over.

The performances of both sides won them qualification at the International Cricket Council trophy in Ireland next June. — AP
