3-1 win for New Friends FC

NEW DELHI, JUNE 22. New Friends FC beat Shakti FC 3-1 in a group II preliminary league match of the DSA `B' division league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Tuesday.

Shakti Club took the lead in the 24th minute through Rikki, but after the break Manjeet Singh equalised. Later, Ram Singh struck in quick succession to put the issue beyond doubt for the winner.

In group III, Nivia Club trounced Delhi Tigers 4-0. After a goalless first half, Sailender (3) and Himanshu were the scorers for Nivia.

The league matches will also be held at the Nehru Stadium (North side) grounds from Wednesday.
