BANGALORE, JUNE 22. Anthony Rajkumar came up with another consistent display to maintain his lead at the top of the 24-man board on the second day of the Karnataka Open Tenpin bowling championships at the Amoeba Bowling Centre here on Tuesday. Anthony, with an overall average of 196.42, finished the second day with a total pinfall of 2357. Dr. Ajay Singh improved upon his overnight placing (third) with a total pinfall of 2299, for an average of 191.58, to move to the second spot while Commonwealth team member Sethu Madhavan roared back with an impressive showing to the third place from the ninth he held, with a 189.25 average for a total pinfall of 2271. On the distaff side which commenced today, Mumbai's Anjana began with a flourish with four successive `strikes' but then faltered to let National champion Sabeena of Chennai take a firm grip at the end of six games. Pratima Hegde and Judy, along with Swapna, looked quite impressive. Sabeena had a pinfall of 1056 at the end of six games (avg. 176.00) while Pratima 161.58 and Anjana 158.17 were fighting it out for the second place.
