Srinath pleased with India's pace talent
CHENNAI,
JUNE 23.
Describing the pace duo of L. Balaji and Irfan Pathan as "gems", former Indian spearhead Javagal Srinath said he was mighty pleased by the fact that the country is getting to a situation where it can choose its new ball bowlers from a pool of talent.
"I'm impressed with Munaf Patel, the lanky bowler from Mumbai who is knocking on the doors of international cricket. Balaji and Pathan complement each other," said Srinath, speaking to pressmen at the MRF Pace Foundation here on Wednesday.
"Experience will help Zaheer (Khan) deal with his fitness problems better while Ashish (Nehra) needs to be very careful with that injured ankle."
