Protest by Dommat Congress workers
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
JUNE 23.
A protest demonstration by the Dommat Congress workers at Gandhi Bhavan, the Congress headquarters, was the only visible sign of dissent in the Congress over the induction of six TRS members into the Cabinet.
A Congress worker created commotion by threatening to commit suicide by dousing himself with kerosene when the PCC president, D. Srinivas, was in the party office.
Mr. Srinivas later pacified the crowd by assuring them that the party would not neglect the interests of the Telangana region and the next Cabinet expansion would see more Congress legislators from Telangana getting accommodated.
