Madurai
By Our Staff Reporter
MADURAI, JUNE 23. The temporary employees, who were terminated on Monday, rejoiced over the Government's decision to reinstate them today. The mood of the temporary employees in Madurai was upbeat and with their prospects turning bright suddenly, they celebrated the occasion, hailing the Chief Minister. The employees, who gathered at the Collectorate to submit request letters seeking reinstatement to the Government through the Collector individually, were surprised when the news of reinstatement reached the Collectorate. They clapped their hands and immediately dropped the plan to submit letters. While the men boisterously shook hands with one another, the women shed tears of joy as fortune smiled on them again after their appointment in July last year. A woman hurried to a nearby shop, bought chocolates and distributed them among her colleagues and shared the joy over the swift transformation in Government's stand in reinstating 461 employees in Madurai on sympathetic grounds.
