This Day That Age
India was the second largest user of U.N. technical assistance during 1953 and if in 1954 her projects are carried out as scheduled, India will be the largest recipient of expert aid and fellowships in 1954. This is brought out in the sixth report of the Technical Assistance Board released on June 24 at the U.N. The report is for discussion at the Economic and Social Council meeting beginning on June 30. India is also one of the top nine countries contributing over 50 experts to the international programme carried out through the U.N. Technical Assistance Administration, the ILO, the FAO, the WHO, the UNESCO and other specialised agencies.
