Tribal woman gang-raped?

NALGONDA, JUNE 24. A 27-year-old tribal woman was allegedly raped by a gang of youngsters at Ramgundla village in Halia mandal on Wednesday night.

According to the Circle Inspector, E. Ramachandra Reddy, the woman was allegedly dragged into bushes by a five-member gang and raped. In a police complaint, she alleged that three of them had raped her.

The police rushed her to the district headquarters hospitals for treatment. Based on the complaint, they launched a manhunt for the five youngsters. The victim resided in the village along with her seven-year-old son after the demise of her husband, the CI said.
