Farmers told to use neem to control pests

BIDAR, JUNE 24. Farmers in the district have been advised to gather neem seeds and use them in fighting pests in their fields.

According to a press release from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, neem can be used as a fertilizer, to preserve seeds, and control pests.

The increased use of neem in agriculture will lead to a reduction in dependence on inorganic pesticides, the release said.

The entomologist at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra can be contacted for further details, the release added.
