Minister inaugurates classrooms

BANGALORE, JUNE 24. The Minister for Industries, Infrastructure and Airport, P.G.R. Sindhia, inaugurated nine classrooms built under Project Vidya, a Rs. 16-lakh literacy project taken up by Rotary Bangalore South Parade, at the Government Model Primary School in Manjunathnagar here on Thursday.

The Minister lauded the efforts of Rotarians in getting the classrooms built in 10 months. "Human resources are the greatest assets of our country and it is the duty of the Government and society to provide need-based education to children to prepare them to take on a competitive world," he said.

He said Rotary was aiding the Government in providing education, health and other civic amenities.
