Vice-Chancellors to participate in workshop

COIMBATORE, JUNE 26. More than 75 Vice-Chancellors, directors of technical institutions and representatives of industries are expected to participate in a two-day workshop on `Promoting knowledge-based enterprises', to be organised here on June 28 and 29.

The workshop is jointly sponsored by the University Grants Commission and the Department of Science and Technology, and would be organised by the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology at Sathyamangalam.

Among those who are expected to participate are the UGC Chairman, Arun Nigavekar, and the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, V. S. Ramamurthy.

On June 29 and 30, the UGC-Academic Staff College of Bharathiar University, will organise a two-day `All-India UGC-Academic Staff College Directors' Meet-2004'. About 50 participants are expected to participate.
