Agriculture varsity counselling begins on July 2

COIMBATORE, JUNE 26. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University will conduct counselling under the single-window system for admissions to B.Sc (Agri), B.Sc. (Horticulture), B.Sc (Forestry), B.Sc (Home Science) and B.Tech (Agrl. Engineering) in the general category and B.Tech (Agrl. Biotech), B. Tech (Horticulture), B.Tech (Food Process Engineering) and B.Tech (Energy and Environmental Engineering) in the self-supporting category from July 2.

The counselling schedule for general merit category:

All communities — 9.30 a.m. on July 2 (minimum cut-off marks 289.46); 1.30 p.m. (minimum cut-off marks 284.25); 9.30 a.m. on July 3 (minimum cut-off marks 280.03).

MBC (minimum cut-off marks 270.00), SC (minimum cut-off marks 259.00) and ST (minimum cut-off marks 218) 1.30 p.m. on July 3.

For B.Tech (Agrl. Engineering), B.Tech (Food Process Engineering) and B. Tech (Energy and Environmental Engineering) — 9.30 a.m. on July 4 — OC and BC (minimum cut-off marks 250.00), MBC (minimum cut-off marks 233.32) and SC (minimum cut-off marks 223.17).

Vocational group students will be counselled for B.Sc (Agri.), B.Sc (Horticulture), B.Sc. (Forestry) and B.Tech (Agrl. Engineering) on July 10. Counselling for other reservation categories will also be done the same day.

The candidates should bring with them copies of qualifying mark-sheet and the community certificate. Call letters have been despatched. Those who have not received the letters and are well within the cut-off marks can attend counselling during the time specified. In case of inability, a candidate can authorise his/her nominee to attend counselling. On selection for admission to undergraduate programmes, the candidates will have to pay Rs. 2,000 by a demand draft drawn in favour of the Dean (Agriculture), TNAU, payable at Coimbatore. Cash payment is also accepted.

Postgraduate admission results

The university has released the candidates' list provisionally selected for admission to the Master's Degree programmes for 2004-05.

The candidates can access their results on the web site: www.tnau.ac.in. Individual communication will be sent to the candidates. The last date for payment of tuition fees is July 2.
