Records galore at State shooting championship

HYDERABAD, JUNE 27. A total of sixteen new meet records were set and P. Pooja Reddy and Arun bagged four golds each in the 5th Andhra Pradesh State rifle shooting championships which concluded here on Sunday.

The results:

Men: Clay pigeon skeet: 1. Amit Sanghi (47) (NMR); 2. Darius Chenai (45); 3. Gusti Noria (41).

Small bore free rifle prone position 50m: 1. S. Ravi (566) (NMR); 2. Mojahia Ali Khan (490); 3. Thakur Shailendra (484); three position 50m: 1. S. Ravi (506); 2. Thakur Shailendra (474); 3. Mojahia Ali Khan (425).

.22 standard rifle prone position 50m: Shakeel Haider Khan (470) (NMR); 2. Md Saleem Moosa (469); 3. P. Krishna (454); three position 50m: D. Trimurthulu (389) (NMR).

Peep Sight air rifle 10m: 1. Arun (363); 2. Thakur Shailendra (357); 3. K. Vignan Tej (357).

Centre fire pistol 25m: 1. B. Shankar (245) (NMR); 2. P.S.R. Murthy (227); 3. Gusti Noria (174). Standard pistol 25m: 1. B. Shankar (243) (NMR); 2. Shanthi Raju (243); 3. A.M. Hussain (229).

Free pistol 50m: 1. K. Niranjan Reddy (21) (NMR); 2. A.M. Hussain (211); 3. B. Shankar (208). Air pistol 10m: 1. K. Niranjan Reddy (346); 2. M. Hussain (332); 3. B. Shankar (331).
