Karan nets four goals
NEW DELHI,
JUNE 27.
Propelled by a four-goal act by Karan, Youngsters Sports Club defeated Gulabi Bagh 7-0 in a group II match of the DSA `B' Division Open Club league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Sunday. The other scorers were Ashok Ghosh , D.P. Rawat and Chitar.
In a group III match at the same venue, Royal Bengal and Punjab Heroes were locked in a 2-2 draw. Swapan Basu and Ashwani netted for Royal Bengal while Satish Rai and Anil Chauhan scored for Punjab Heroes.
At the Nehru Stadium, Young Sports defeated Lodhi Athletic Club 4-0 in group I. The goals came through Pappu (2), Mohammad Ibrahim and Jeetender.
In another match of the same group, Delhi Students and South India shared points from a 1-1 draw. Dayal scored for Students and Inder found the mark for South India.
