KOCHI, JUNE 27 . A joint meeting of all the organisations representing the film industry will be held in Ernakulam on Monday to discuss the issues related to the ongoing strike in the industry.

The meeting, convened by the Kerala Film Distributors Federation, will be attended by representatives of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes, the Malayalam Cine Technicians Association, the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce, the Kerala Film Producers Association, the Kerala Film Exhibitors Association and the Kerala Cine Exhibitors Federation, according to the chamber president, Siyad Kokker. The meeting aims at solving the misunderstanding among the groups regarding the situation that led to the declaration of the indefinite strike, according to Mr. Kokker. The organisations are expected to make a joint statement urging the Government to take immediate steps for solving the crisis. The Information Minister, M.M. Hassan's statement that the Government is ready for discussions with the Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce is false, the producer, Navodaya Appachan, has said.
