Shikha Tandon bags silver

BANGALORE, JUNE 27. Shikha Tandon was the lone Indian swimmer to claim a medal on the final day of the Malaysian Open swimming champion Kuala Lumpur today.

Shikha bagged a silver in the 50 m freestyle by clocking 27.04 sec. It was well below had personal and national best of 26.50. Reshma Millet who timed 28.14 seconds finished eighth.

In the men's section Rehan Poncha narrowly missed out on a medal when he clocked 58.26 seconds and secured fourth position in the 100 m butterfly race.
