Visakhapatnam

VISAKHAPATNAM, JUNE 27. The Visakha Industrial Trade Union Council (VITUC) has represented problems of workers in the unorganised sector in Visakhapatnam to the Labour Minister, G. Vinod. The Minister reportedly promised to make efforts to resolve them. The president and secretary of the VITUC, Mantri Rajasekhar and Thirlangi Hari, led a delegation of the council to the Secretariat in Hyderabad recently. They said non-payment of wages to workers in cinema theatres, hotels, etc., and pathetic working conditions were brought to the notice of the Minister.
