Cloudy sky; rain likely

Invited

The University Grants Commission-Academic Staff College, Bangalore University, has invited undergraduate/post graduate teachers to participate in its orientation programmes and refresher courses in 18 subjects, including Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Communication, Economics, Education, English, Environmental Sciences, Hindi, History, Kannada and Sociology.

Enrolment

The No.1 Karnataka Naval National Cadet Corps (NCC) Unit will enrol ``outstanding'' boys and girls studying in PU and Degree as Naval wing NCC cadets.

The cadets can participate in various National and State-level NCC camps, represent the State at Republic Day parades, and take part in yachting, kayaking, sailing, mountaineering, visit Naval ships and also train to join the Defence forces.
