This Day That Age
To encourage the study of the Vedas and to encourage scholars learned in such Vedic lore, a Bhoomi Dan movement has been started in the name of the head of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam. A trust has been created called the Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal Shastiabdapoorthi Trust which will be administered by five life-trustees, Messrs. Rao Sahib S.R. Krishnamurthi Aiyar of Mylapore (Managing Trustee), L.S. Parthasarathi Aiyar, retired District Judge, R. Vanchinatha Aiyar of Mudikondan. N.R. Sundararaja Aiyar of Nangavaram and R.Seetharama Aiyar of Keezha-Tanjavoor. The land gifts will be in favour of this trust and the trustees will act as per the direction of His Holiness or his successors. It will make provision for the life maintenance of Vedic scholars, who will be chosen as per the rules and regulations framed by His Holiness.
