Armaan wins second round

CHENNAI, JUNE 28. Armaan Ebrahim won the second round of the Rotax Max Asian Zone karting championship at the Carmona circuit in Manila on Sunday.

The Chennai lad won both the heats, which saw him gain pole position in the pre-final, where he finished runner-up behind Malaysian champion Shafiq Ali. Armaan, who is currently sponsored by JK Tyres, put in some quick laps to take the chequered flag ahead of the Malaysian to now lead the championship table.

The next round will be held at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore on July 31 and Aug. 1.
