YSR provoking Congressmen: Naidu
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
JUNE 28.
The TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, today accused the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, of "behaving like a factionalist'' by indirectly provoking his partymen to indulge in violence against TDP workers.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly lobbies, he said Dr. Reddy's repeated references to his father's murder and the alleged criminal activities of the TDP MLA, Paritala Ravindra, virtually amounted to an exhortation to Congressmen to wreak vengeance. "He is speaking without restraint," he alleged.
Meanwhile, six Congress MLAs and an MP from Anantapur district, said the hue and cry raised by the TDP over the Anantapur killings was a "diversionary tactic'' aimed at "covering up'' the violence its men, particularly Mr. Ravindra, had perpetrated during the last nine years.
